Dr. Manzoor A. Khalidi is a multi-disciplinary scholar with interests in areas as diverse as Banking and Securities Markets Regulations, International Banking, Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, Globalization, Regionalization, Social, Economic, and Political Theory, and Postmodern Philosophy. Prior to being appointed the Vice Chancellor of Barrett Hodgson University, he was serving as Professor and Dean Faculty of Management Sciences. His then responsibilities included the development of the curriculum and the launch of the BBA, BS Accounting and Finance and MBA Programs.
Before joining Barrett Hodgson University, Dr. Khalidi was the Head of Research at PAF-Karachi Institute of Economics and Technology, where he was instrumental in the development and the launch of their PhD Program in Management Science. Earlier, he had served as Dean College of Management Science, and the Editor of their Journal ‘Market Forces’ in the same institution. Previously, he served as the Head of FAST School of Management, Karachi Campus at the National University of Computer and Emerging Science, and as a Faculty Member at Institute of Business Administration, Karachi.
In UK, at the University of Southampton he served as a Research Fellow from 1991 to 1993 on the Single European Market Project ‘Harmonization of European Union Securities Markets Regulation’. Prior to joining the academia, he worked as a Development Banker at Habib Bank Limited, and Pak Libya Holding Company (Pvt) Ltd.
His educational credentials include Bachelors of Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology, MBA from IBA, Karachi, MSc in International Banking from University of Southampton, UK, and PhD also from University of Southampton, UK. Dr. Khalidi was among the first batch of Chevening Scholars (then called the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Program) that proceeded to UK in September 1990. Dr. Khalidi is also a Peer Reviewer of South Asia Quality Assurance (SAQS), Member Board of Faculty and Board of Studies at number of Universities. He has number of publications including those in ISI Impact factor journals.
